John Sweeney

John Sweeney is the four-term president of the AFL-CIO, the largest union organization in the United States, representing 54 affiliated unions and 10 million members, as well as more than 1.5 million members in Working America, its new community affiliate. Sweeney has been a part of the labor union movement for more than 50 years. He has authored and co-authored several books including “American Needs a Raise: Fighting for Economic Security and Social Justice (1996).”
