Rep. Bill Shuster

Rep. Bill Shuster (R-Pa.), the younger Shuster replaced his dad in serving Pennsylvania's 9th district and even joined the committee - Transportation and Infrastructure - that his dad once chaired, famously steering funds back home. Following in those footsteps, Shuster championed substantial funding for roadway projects as well as infrastructure improvements throughout western Pennsylvania.

In addition to steering highway funds to central Pennsylvania, Shuster served as a high-speed rail advocate who chaired the House subcommittee overseeing the nation's rail system. A loyal Republican on the major issues, Shuster's other legislative priorities have been promoting energy independence by supporting domestic energy production of all kinds.
