Gail Thomas, president and CEO of the Trinity Trust Foundation in Dallas, gives a lecture titled, "Bridges to the 21st Century: Calatrava Designs for Dallas," about the city's efforts to develop the 20-mile Trinity River Corridor to better serve the public. A special feature of the redeveloped corridor are two iconic cable-stayed bridges designed by the internationally acclaimed architect Santiago Calatrava. Part of the Art of Architecture Lecture Series, Thomas' visit is timely as Central Arkansas begins plans to rebuild the Broadway Bridge connecting downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock.
