Michael Ford has a 37-year career in politics, government, and business at all levels of American public life. He has held senior staff and senior advisory positions in nine presidential campaigns. Ford also served as executive assistant to the Governor of Ohio and chief of staff for the mayor of Cincinnati. He has a master's degree in government from Georgetown University, was a graduate fellow at the Pennsylvania State University School of Public Administration, and received his Bachelor of Arts from Xavier University.

Michael Ford gives a Clinton School lecture titled "The State of the American Dream." Ford is the founding director of Xavier University's Center for the Study of the American Dream, which works to understand and preserve the American dream in the context of the changing world. During his 37-year career, Ford has been the executive assistant to the governor of Ohio, worked as chief of staff to the mayor of Cincinnati and served in senior roles for nine presidential campaigns.
