Mitch Albom is the author of nine books, including bestsellers “Tuesdays with Morrie,” “For One More Day,” and “The Five People You Meet in Heaven.” Having launched Albom’s career as an author, “Tuesdays With Morrie” chronicles time spent with a beloved but dying college professor. The book spent four years on The New York Times bestseller list before being adapted for a celebrated television film. Albom is also an award-winning sports writer at the Detroit Free Press.

Bestselling author and newspaper columnist Mitch Albom discusses his memoir “Tuesdays with Morrie,” at the Clinton School’s first annual scholarship luncheon. Albom shares stories of time he spent with his beloved but dying college professor, Morrie, who he began visiting once-a-week after renewing a friendship that had long been forgotten since his college years. In a highly inspirational speech, Albom tells of the life lessons he learned from his visits with Morrie, and the lost time they were able to make up. The luncheon was held to raise money for the Clinton School’s annual scholarship fund, providing support to students seeking their Master of Public Service Degree (MPS) at the school.
